Role of Women in Armed Struggle Movement: – When thousands of women were participating in Mahatma Gandhi’s non-violent movement, some women did not accept Gandhi’s path of non-violence and adopted the path of violence.  In 1905, women in Bengal helped the revolutionaries during the Swadeshi movement.  Sarla Devi Chaudhurani was maintaining a relationship with the sympathetic union in Maimansingh.  She had opened the women’s wing of Arya Samaj for women at many places in Punjab.  From outside India, Madam Bhikaji Cama gave her support to the revolutionary movement.  He helped the revolutionaries financially by collecting donations from abroad.  In 1909, he published a magazine called ‘Vande Mataram’ from Paris and criticized the anti-press policy of the British government.  She was also related to ‘Abhinav Bharat’ founded by Savarkar.  He believed that India could not achieve independence unless women themselves took up arms against the British government.

Durgavati, the wife of the well-known revolutionary Bhagwati Charan Bohra, actively participated in the revolutionary activities.  She was famous among the revolutionaries as Durga Bhabhi.  Bina Das shot and killed Jackson at the university’s convocation.  Rani Gindaluy organized the Nagas against the British.  The women’s revolutionary movement was in progress in Bengal.  His movement, which started in protest against the partition of Bengal, reached its height during the period of the non-cooperation movement.  In 1924, a revolutionary woman named Leela Roy founded the Dipali Sangh in Dhaka.  The main objective of this union was to spread revolutionary ideals among the girls.  In 1930, Leela Roy also edited the magazine ‘Jayashree’.  Pritilata Waddedar, Veenapani Roy, and Kalpana Dutta were the prominent members of Dhaka Deepali Sangha.
