Origin of planetary winds on Earth: – The main reason for the origin and communication of wind on the earth is the pressure gradient.  The difference in air pressure between any two places is called the pressure gradient.  There is a close relationship between air pressure and wind circulation.  Air flows from high air pressure to low air pressure.  Generally, the direction of the winds blowing on the surface should be straight, but due to the Coriolis force generated due to the rotation of the earth, there is some difference in their direction, that is, they do not cut the isobars at the right angles but at acute angles.

The direction of planetary winds on Earth: The direction of the winds blowing on the surface is determined by the air pressure and the rotation of the earth.  If the earth did not rotate, all the winds would have flowed straight, but due to the rotation of the earth, their direction gets deflected.  This transforming force is called the deflection force or the Coriolis force.  Due to this force, the winds turn to the right in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left in the Southern Hemisphere.  It is to be remembered that the speed of revolution of the earth is highest at the equator and gradually decreases from here towards the poles.  Therefore, the winds blowing on the surface do not reach their designated place and get deflected from the path, which is called deflection.  On this basis, a scholar named Feral proposed the opinion of wind direction, which is called Ferrell’s law.  According to this law, “If we stand facing the direction in which the wind is blowing, then the winds turn to the right in the Northern Hemisphere and to the left in the Southern Hemisphere.”

The planetary winds blowing on the surface have originated due to the temperature of the whole globe and the pressure dense caused by the rotation of the earth and due to the deflection force, there is a deviation in their direction.
