Effect of taboo or waste on the environment:- The following are the three effects it has on the environment.  ,

(i) Harmful particles of the forbidden substance together with the air give rise to air pollution and other diseases like asthma, cough, blood pressure, etc,  and damage to biodiversity.

(ii) The waste substances pollute the soil and destroy its productivity as well as cause various diseases.

(iii) Forbidden substances pollute the water bodies, due to which the species of aquatic fauna and flora start getting destroyed, and diseases like Minamata, Melanosis, Itai Itai, and Cholera arise in animals and humans.
